“Paddle for a Cause” is a fundraiser in support of Prostate Cancer taking place over an 18 day period from September 5th to 22nd, 2012.  Starting in the Severn region, a father (Andy) – son (Nick) team will kayak the Trent-Severn Waterway, ending in the Kawartha region at Peterborough’s Silver Bean Cafe.

All donations made on this site are received and processed directly by Prostate Cancer Canada – the only national foundation dedicated to the elimination of the Prostate Cancer through research, education, and awareness.

You Could Win:  A Prostate Cancer Canada t-shirt, tie, scarf, or socks; a paddle or  canoe rental from Wild Rock Outfitters; family passes to the Canadian Canoe Museum; a sign package from Signarama; Peterborough Petes tickets; passes to Hot Yoga Peterborough; Starbucks prize packages; canoe/kayak/pedal boat rentals from Peterborough Pedal n Paddle; a cruise for two from LiftLock and the River Cruises; movie tickets from Galaxy Cinemas; and a gym membership from 24 Seven Family Gym – More prizes to come.

NEW Limited Time Offer:
Donate between August 13th – 17th or September 10th-14th and receive a FREE 30 minute ($20 donation) or 1 hour ($40 donation) massage from Dr.Doug’s Massage Therapy Centre. To be eligible for this offer, donations must be made directly through Dr.Doug’s Massage Therapy Centre. Limit one per person, further restrictions apply.

NEW: Starbucks (at Chapters) will be helping raise funds on September 8th and September 15th at their location – Drop in for a coffee and see what they are up to!

NEW: Power Vinyasa Hot Yoga class at Hot Yoga Peterborough with Tiina Kivinen, Fridays at 5:30-6:30pm. All non members pay a minimum $8 drop in fee, proceeds from this Karma class go to PaddleforaCause.ca during the month of August. Donations from members welcome!

Fundraiser Finale

On Saturday September 22nd at 12noon, join us at Peterborough’s Silver Bean Cafe to celebrate the end of our fundraiser – Any contributions to the fundraiser are appreciated.
